Small Wildland Fires North of Genoa Peak

July 28, 2010 8:00 am.

The fires burning north of Genoa Peak have been extinguished by crews from the United States Forest Service.

July 26, 2010, 9:00 am.

Two small wildland fires are burning on National Forest lands north of Genoa Peak. The fires are both less than an acre, and are currently being controlled by helicopter water drops. United States Forest Service crews are hiking in to finish extinguishment.

There is currently no danger to Fire District residents. Watch our website for updates.
