The Tahoe Douglas Fire District operates out of four fire stations along the southern and eastern shores of Lake Tahoe. ===================================================================================== Station 1 Fire Station 1 is located at 702 Kingsbury Grade in Stateline. It houses three personnel who are able to respond in a Type I engine or a Type III brush. During the summer months the ladder truck is located here also. Winter weather requires relocation to Station 3 due to road conditions. Station 3 Fire Station 3 is located at 193 Elks Point Rd. in Zephyr Cove. It is the main fire station and houses four personnel. It is also the location of the administrative offices. Station 3 is by far the busiest and crews can respond in a Type I engine, paramedic ambulance, and ladder truck. The rescue personal watercraft are also located here. Station 4 Fire Station 4 is located at 875 Hwy. 50 in Zephyr Cove. This station houses four personnel including the battalion chief. Their equipment includes a Type I engine and paramedic ambulance. The rescue boat is located here in the winter months and is available 365 days/year. In the summer time the boat is in the water to facilitate quicker response. Station 5 Fire Station 5 is located at 1803 Hwy. 50 in Glenbrook. Station 5 houses two personnel who are able to respond in a Type I engine. The hazardous materials trailer and water tender are also located here along with the bomb squad.
